Did Twinkle Khanna take a DIG at Kapil Sharma’s ‘sloshed’ mid-air antics? – In her latest column, Mrs Funnybones mentioned how explosives weren’t the only weapons one could use on a flight anymore…
Twinkle Khanna takes a jab at Kapil Sharma in her column.
It seems like no one’s on Kapil Sharma’s side anymore. After his feud with Sunil Grover, the two have apparently parted ways on a bitter note, with Grover now on track with his own new show on Sony TV.
And now, it’s Twinkle Khanna’s turn to give her two cents on the issue. And let’s just say, she’s clearly not up for flying with the comedian anytime soon!
Khanna, in her recent column for the Times of India, wrote about how ‘30,000 feet up, even scotch and slippers are lethal weapons’, which is also the title of her article. Known for her sharp wit and sense of humour, leading to her being nicknamed ‘Mrs Funnybones’, Khanna wrote about her recent trip on an airline with her nephew and talks about the history of flying as well.
She further mentioned how explosives weren’t the only weapons one could use on a flight anymore, with scotch being an equally potent weapon as well. This was when she decided to chime in about Kapil Sharma’s troubles, writing “Or more recently, when all the free in-flight booze led to a free-for-all, with an allegedly inebriated comedian, Kapil Sharma, hurling a shoe at his colleague”, referring to the row Sharma got into with Grover when he hurled insults at him in a drunken state on a flight back to India after performing in Melbourne and Sydney, the first nail in the coffin of their friendship and partnership.
Khanna also takes a jibe at the recent incident involving Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad’s slipper incident on board Air India. “Please note, footwear is also apparently yet another trendy weapon these days. A fact demonstrated by the now infamous Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad who forgot that when you climb on board, it is the plane that is meant to fly and not your temper.” she wrote.
