Khandala girl, Rani Mukerji turns 36
The Khandala girl Rani Mukerji turned 36 today. Her husky voice and bubbly nature has surely won a place in our mind. As the Bollywood Queen turns 36 today we remember her contribution to cinema.
Although Mukerji was born into the Mukherjee-Samarth family, in which her parents and relatives were members of the Indian film industry, she did not aspire to pursue a career in film.
However, later young Rani accepted a leading role in the 1997 social drama Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat on the insistence of her mother. The following year, she began a full-time career in film and gained recognition for a supporting role in the blockbuster romance Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
Then after a series of flops, her career prospects improved again in 2002 when Yash Raj Films cast her as the star of the critically acclaimed relationship drama Saathiya. Then came along hit films like Hum Tum, Veer Zaara, Black, Bunty aur Bubbli and many more for her.
In her personal life, Mukerji remains constantly guarded when questioned about her personal life. Rumour has it, that her alleged beau Aditya Chopra has planned a surprise for the lady love.
Although the duo has always kept their relationship under wraps, Rani was spotted donning a solitaire on her ring finger which created quite a stir.Rani was last seen in Talaash opposite Aamir Khan in 2012.
We wish she gets married this year and makes a comeback in Bollywod films soon. Our team wishes her a superb year!
