Love Per Square Foot: Netflix’s original Indian movie releases first trailer – Ronnie Screwvala’s first solo production venture Love Per Square Foot, which is also Netflix’s first Indian straight to streaming movie, released their first trailer on Wednesday.
The film is a romcom, featuring Vicky Kaushal and Angira Dhar amidst a house-hunting adventure in Mumbai.
Love Per Square Foot is also the feature film directorial debut of Anand Tiwari, who had earlier directed Yash Raj Films’ short Bang Baaja Baarat. Acting stalwarts Ratna Pathak Shah, Supriya Pathak, and Raghuvir Yadav also form the main cast of the movie.
The official synopsis of the movie reads:
Follow the twists and turns of Sanjay Chaturvedi (Vicky Kaushal) and Karina D’Souza (Angira Dhar) who, like millions of millennial Mumbaikars, are looking for space in the City of Dreams. Their perfect plan – a marriage of convenience – is sometimes thwarted and sometimes aided by their family.

“How, where and when great stories are watched is changing every day. Our younger audiences chose their mediums. We love to disrupt and innovate in this space and this is a first of its kind for South Asia. We are thrilled to come together with Netflix and break new ground by reaching film-lovers around the world directly with Netflix,” Ronnie Screwvala had said about the collaboration between RSVP and Netflix.
Screwvala was the founder of UTV film. He became head of Disney India when the media giant was sold to the company. He resigned from the post in late 2013.
