The film, helmed by Ramkumar is in the final stages of production.
Director Ramkumar, who rose to prominence with his debut film, Mundasupatti, is now busy helming his second venture, starring Vishnu Vishal and Amala Paul in the lead roles. The film bankrolled by Axess Film Factory is a crime drama in which Vishnu will don the role of a police constable — while Amala will be seen as a teacher.
The film, which was untitled went on floors sometime in November 2016. Recently, Vishnu announced that the movie has been titled Minmini. When we contacted the director about the title’s significance, he says, “The core plot of the movie is based on the life of school students and the title has an indirect connection to it. Minmini is used to signify beauty, which is linked to Amala Paul and the students in the film.”
The movie is in the last lap of production and the final schedule will kickstart on April 29. “80 per cent of the movie is completed and the post-production is underway simultaneously. There are only montage songs in the film, which will travel along with the story. So we didn’t allocate separate dates to shoot song sequences,” he discloses. The teaser of Minmini is getting ready and the makers are planning to release it soon.
